What will not change

The price has to fit the product.

These constraints stay in place while the final amount and license terms are decided.

  1. No metered uploads

The core workflow runs on the customer’s PC, so pricing is not tied to upload volume or cloud conversion minutes.

  2. Terms before checkout

Price, billing cadence, device allowance, update policy, and refund terms will be visible before payment is possible.

  3. A product worth maintaining

Commercial pricing must fund reliable releases, documentation, and support rather than simply putting a paywall around the old build.

Questions

Pricing questions

Is the displayed price final?

No. This page intentionally shows the planned structure without inventing a launch price. The final amount will be published before checkout opens.

Will CompressThing be a subscription?

No recurring subscription is planned. The Pro license is a one-time purchase for up to three PCs, with local processing and email recovery.

Can I buy CompressThing today?

Not yet. Sales will open when the commercial Windows build, licensing flow, documentation, and support path are ready.

Will processing use paid cloud credits?

No cloud-credit model is planned for the core compression workflow. Imported media is intended to be processed on the Windows PC.
